Carmen Alger

Carmen Alger Carmen Alger is a native Albertan, born in Medicine Hat but predominantly raised in Calgary.  She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from the University of Calgary in 1995 and then went on to study film at Concordia University in Montreal.  Ms. Alger obtained her Law Degree from the University of Alberta in 2001, articled with FLEMING LLP and was called to the Alberta Bar in 2003.

Ms. Alger has experience practicing in the areas of general commercial and civil litigation, municipal law, bankruptcy and insolvency and corporate/commercial law.

Ms. Alger enjoys traveling, reading for pleasure and pursuing various outdoor recreational activities.  Ms. Alger has a volunteer history with a number of local community organizations, including Springboard Dance, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Schizophrenia Society of Alberta, Sunalta School and Scarboro Community Association.

In addition to English, Ms. Alger speaks French and has a working knowledge of Spanish.
