 Katie MacNeil was born in Fredericton, New Brunswick, and raised in a small town north of Fredericton. She received her BA from St. Thomas University with Honours in Criminology and a Major in Psychology in 2006, and her LLB from the University of Victoria in 2009. Ms. MacNeil joined Fleming LLP in 2009 as an articling student and was called to the Alberta Bar in 2010. She has experience in the areas of corporate law, civil litigation, real estate, personal injury, employment law and wills and estates.
Ms. MacNeil is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Calgary Bar Association. She has volunteered with community organizations such as Pro-Bono Students Canada, and is also involved with the Children’s Wish Foundation and the Calgary Youth Justice Society.
Ms. MacNeil can ask “how much?” in English, French, Spanish and Swahili. She trekked to the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro in 2009 and enjoys traveling and other outdoor activities such as snowboarding and rafting down the Bow River.
